About
Experienced as both an architectural and interior designer Mitra bridges the gap that often exists between architecture and interior design. Mitra brings her heart to each project along with her artist’s eye. Mitra’s clients delight in her unique approach to designing spaces and in her creative design solutions. She works with integrity and excellence; designing spaces that delight, surprise, rejuvenate and inspire.
Design Philosophy
By choice I have kept my firm as a small design studio. This allows me to assign the role to my clients as that of "designer- partner". We can now work personally and closely with each other from the very beginning of the conceptual design phase to the very end of construction. This ensures that we can faithfully translate personal needs and desires into a beautiful and functional design perfectly suiting a lifestyle whether it be traditional, contemporary, formal or casual.
Equally important, I believe that a good design should thematically relate to architecture and the interior and should be expressed through the careful balancing of critical design elements such as scale, proportion, lines, color, texture, lighting, and how they all relate to and impact the environment. A good design should also be considerate of budget and the practicality of it’s function.
With over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture and interior design, I take pride in knowing the studios growing success is built solidly on our client’s satisfaction in both the design process and the project outcome. I am committed to creating designs that inspire good living.
